Music, theater, dance? Grants for the performing arts are available

The Culver City Performing Arts Grants Program offers project grants for music, theater and dance. Under the tutelage of City Council and its Cultural Affairs Commission, the Performing Arts Grants Program is designed to support local arts organizations and provide Culver City residents, the business community and visitors with enriching cultural opportunities. and accessible.

Performing arts organizations of all sizes are encouraged to apply. To be eligible, applicants must have a performance-oriented mission, be based in Los Angeles County, and be a current 501 (c) (3) organization or have an agreement with a tax collector. Public performances offered, January through December 2022, at a location in Culver City are eligible.

New and old applicants are encouraged to attend a virtual grants workshop on August 16, 2021. Cultural Affairs staff will be available to discuss the application and answer any questions.

Culver City Council allocated funding from the Art in Public Places program’s cultural trust fund, while Sony Pictures Entertainment and the Culver City Arts Foundation provided additional contributions.
