KALEO performing live at Bass Concert Hall 10/6

KALEO is an Icelandic rock band made up of singer JJ Julius Son, drummer David Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjansson and guitarist Rubin Pollock, all friends since elementary school. KALEO began in 2012 playing concerts at the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival, gaining positive recognition for his electrifying stage presence. In 2016, they released their album A B who became a huge hit in the alternative music scene, earning them platinum and gold certifications, a Grammy nomination and several of their songs featured in major TV shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and Riverdale.

KALEO’s musical style ranges from the blues sound we hear in “Way Down We Go” to nostalgic rock & roll as in the explosive track “No Good” paired with the powerful voice of frontman Julius Son. They have sold countless gigs around the world and recently opened for the Rolling Stones. Lately the band was releasing their next album Surface sounds which will be released next month on June 5the!

KALEO will be performing at Bass Concert Hall in Austin on Tuesday, October 6 as part of their Summer / Fall Fight or Flight tour. The hall doors open that evening at 7:30 p.m. and the show is set to begin with opening performances by indie folk artists Matt Maeson and Belle MT.
